Why episode numbers do not always match

International platforms, databases and fan listings may divide the animation into seasons, annual releases or one continuous episode count. Specials and recut editions can create another offset, so the same story point may appear under more than one number.

For that reason, XianLore treats season and episode labels as navigation aliases. A story article should also name the arc and describe the visible event, which is more durable than relying on one platform's numbering alone.

Season 3 and season 4 searches

Searches for season 3 or season 4 often represent a viewer trying to locate where a platform-specific release continues. Each future season page should record the platform or catalog convention it follows and show the corresponding continuous episode range when it can be verified.

Episodes, chapters and story arcs

Chapter searches may refer to the original novel, a comic adaptation or an informal label for an animation episode. They should not be merged automatically. XianLore will keep novel chapters, animation episodes and named story arcs as separate fields connected through a shared story-moment entry.

Current indexing policy

Only confirmed scenes receive episode or chapter metadata. Images whose story position is unclear remain in the visual archive without a fabricated episode number, and are added to search indexes after editorial review.
